Prescription Drugs

When you enroll in a full-time medical plan, you automatically have prescription drug benefits. CVS Caremark administers the prescription drug plan for Option 1, Option 2, Choice Account Plus, and Choice Account medical plans. Kaiser administers the prescription drug plan for those enrolled in a Kaiser plan.

To learn more about the 2017 prescription drug benefit, click here or call 1-855-381-1661. You must be logged in to My Lowe’s Life to access the CVS Caremark website. If you are not logged in to My Lowe’s Life, you will be prompted to enter your employee ID and password.

Option 1 and Option 2 Pharmacy plan design:

You can have your prescription filled at a retail pharmacy, through home delivery or online. Maintenance medication prescriptions must be filled through the CVS Maintenance Choice program.

In that program, employees and covered family members receive a 90-day supply of prescriptions through the mail or through a local CVS pharmacy at a discounted rate. You can also have prescriptions filled online on CVS Caremark’s website, and your medication will be shipped to you within two weeks. If you are not sure if your medication is considered a maintenance medication, go to CVS Caremark’s website for more information about maintenance medications and how to use home delivery.

For other prescriptions, a participating pharmacy can provide a 30-day supply.

With the exception of preventive drugs (see below), you must meet the plan deductible for your medical plan before the plan begins to share the cost of prescription drugs.  Once the deductible has been met you will pay the appropriate coinsurance for the plan you are enrolled in.  For these medical plans, you have access to the CVS Caremark pharmacy network.   Please see the table below for more information.
