Full-time employees enrolled in Lowe’s self-funded plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield or UnitedHealthcare plans) have access to several programs that can assist them during the year, including health advocates, health coaching, maternity programs, disease management programs, cardiac care, joint replacement, and wellness programs.  Click the tab for each program to learn more about their services for members.

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield Member Programs

    Blue Cross Blue Shield offers several programs to Lowe’s employees and their families. Call your healthcare navigator or visit this link to get started.

    • Healthcare Navigators. Blue Cross Blue Shield members have access to either Accolade or Quantum depending on their location.  These Healthcare Navigators provide a team of nurses, pharmacists, doctors, benefits and claims specialists to help them navigate their health benefits at no cost.

      – Finding a doctor or healthcare provider
      – Questions about health or a specific condition

    • Baby Yourself Maternity Program.  This no-cost program for Option 1 or 2 enrollees allows you to discuss your pregnancy with a nurse and get health and lifestyle tips. You can also receive care coordination, including home health services when indicated, for high-risk pregnancies. You will also receive educational materials about proper nutrition, exercise, and up-to-date information about pregnancy topics.   • UnitedHealthcare Member Programs

    UnitedHealthcare offers several programs to Lowe’s employees and their families provided through Optum. Call Optum at 1-800-926-7426 or visit this link to get started.

    • Lowe’s Health Advocate. UnitedHealthcare has dedicated nurses available for Lowe’s employees and their families to help address health concerns at no cost to you. Those nurses can help you:

    – Learn more about a diagnosis

    – Schedule a second opinion

    – Estimate treatment costs

    – Know what to expect from surgery

    – Find resources you may not be aware of

    •  Wellness Coaching. United Healthcare offers one-on-one health coaching for Lowe’s employees and their families. Your wellness coach can help with:

    – Losing weight

    – Managing stress

    – Starting a fitness plan

    – Eating well and living healthier

  • Grand Rounds Second Opinion

    Eligibility: full-time employees and dependents enrolled in an Option 1, Option 2, Choice Account Plus, or Choice Account medical plan

    Getting the right treatment starts with having the right diagnosis. Lowe’s is partnering with Grand Rounds, an expert second opinion service, to provide eligible employees and their dependents with the ability to check an initial diagnosis, confirm treatment or learn more about a current condition at no cost and from the comfort of their own home.

    Employees and their dependents can enroll by visiting the Grand Rounds website, calling 1-888-243-6643, or accessing the service on their mobile device through the Grand Rounds app (available for Apple and Android phones). Employees can also contact the healthcare navigator listed on the back of their insurance cards (Accolade, Quantum or Optum) for additional information or to access Grand Rounds.

    Note: This service is intended to support an employee’s diagnosis and treatment. It is not a substitute for regular doctor’s visits. Employees should continue to visit their primary care physician or preferred doctor for ongoing or urgent medical needs.

  • Cleveland Clinic Cardiac Care

    Eligibility: full-time employees and their covered dependents enrolled in an Option 1, Option 2, Choice Account Plus*, or Choice Account* medical plan

    If a Lowe’s employee or covered family member needs a complex heart procedure, they have the option to receive quality care from the nation’s Number 1 heart program at Cleveland Clinic, located in Cleveland, Ohio. This enhanced benefit includes:

    • Little to no out of pocket spending
    • No copays or deductibles*

    *If you are enrolled in the Choice Account Plus or Choice Account medical plans you will be responsible for any outstanding deductibles

    • Travel arranged and paid for by Lowe’s for the patient and companion
    • Care from Cleveland Clinic’s world renowned physicians, nurses, and medical staff

  • Hip and Knee Replacement Benefit

    Eligibility: full-time employees and their covered dependents enrolled in an Option 1, Option 2, Choice Account Plus*, or Choice Account* medical plan

    Eligible employees and their covered dependents may receive no-cost knee and hip replacements at one of four designated centers of excellence.

    In addition to offering access to some of the highest quality providers in the country, Lowe’s will cover all costs associated with the procedures, including all travel costs for the patient and a family member or friend.  *Members enrolled in the Choice Account Plus or Choice Account (formerly HDHP) medical plans will be responsible for outstanding deductibles.

  • Spinal Care

  • Livongo for Diabetes

    Eligibility:  full-time employees and their covered dependents enrolled in Lowe’s Blue Cross Blue Shield Option 1 or Option 2 medical plan and who have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes

    Livongo for Diabetes is a program that provides individuals diagnosed with diabetes with support to manage their health.  Through this benefit, participants can receive a blood glucose monitoring system, unlimited lancets and test strips shipped to their door, and access to a dedicated support team – all at no additional cost.

  • Omada

    Eligibility: full-time employees and dependents over 18 enrolled in Lowe’s Option 1, Option 2, Choice Account Plus, or Choice Account medical plan dependent upon completion of an eligibility survey.  Not all employees enrolled in these plans will qualify for the program.

    Omada is a 16-week online program designed to help participants lose weight, improve their health, and avoid the risk of chronic disease.  Eligible participants will have access to a variety of tools and resources, including an online health coach, wireless scale, and weekly online lessons.  This program is available to qualified participants at no additional cost.

  • Teladoc

    Eligibility: full-time employees and dependents enrolled in an Option 1, Option 2, Choice Account Plus, or Choice Account medical plan

    Teladoc focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of acute, non-urgent health issues such as sinus infections, pink eye, the flu and more. Similar to retail drop-in clinics, Teladoc is more accessible than urgent care or emergency centers and is available 24/7/365, during hours when many physician offices are closed (nights, weekends and holidays). Patients can conduct telephone or video visits with a physician using their personal computer, smart phone, or telephone. The cost to plan participants enrolled in Option 1 or 2 is half of your primary care physician copay and for Choice Account Plus or Choice Account is $40.

  • Rethink

    Eligibility: full-time employees and their covered dependents enrolled in an Option 1, Option 2, Choice Account Plus, or Choice Account medical plan

    This benefit offers online tools and training for parents of children with developmental disabilities. The online treatment program designed for parents and caretakers to teach their child crucial skills, decrease problem behaviors and easily collaborate with a specialized care team.   Participants have access to:

    • A comprehensive video library of more than 1,500 easy-to-follow teaching steps.
    • Assessments and learning plans that are customized for each child’s specific needs.
    • A training center of 11 video modules that demonstrate best practice, research-based teaching strategies.
    • One-on-one virtual consultations with Rethink’s behavioral therapists and special educators (up to six hours free each year).
    • Resources such as printable teaching materials, expert-led webinars, peer support forums and more.

  • Family Assistance Program

    The Family Assistance Program is a no-cost, confidential counseling program designed to help with personal or work-related concerns. Permanent full-time or part-time Lowe’s employees and their eligible family members each receive up to five no-cost sessions per situation, per year, at a confidential location.   • Health Screenings

    The Health Screening Units (HSUs) and onsite health centers (at RDCs and CSCs) offer health screenings at no cost to all Lowe’s employees. The results are completely confidential.     The Quit For Life® smoking cessation program is available to all full and part time employees, spouses, domestic partners and dependents who are 18 and older.
