Short-Term Disability

The part-time short-term disability (STD) plan provides replacement income if you become totally disabled. You are totally disabled when, because of sickness or off-the-job injury, you cannot perform the material and substantial duties of your regular occupation and you are not working in any occupation.

The maximum benefit is $650 per month, prorated to a daily amount of $21.66, less other income benefits. STD benefits are payable up to three months.

You will begin receiving STD benefits after you have satisfied the elimination period, which is seven (7) days. The elimination period is the consecutive days of total disability that must pass before benefits start; this period cannot be met if you’re only partially disabled.

Allstate administers the part-time short-term disability plan. To learn more, click here or call 1-877-215-0939.
